Testimonials

‘I came to Darren for coaching because I warmed to his open, easy-going and intelligent approach. I found Darren’s coaching to have the focus, imagination and precision I needed. I am appreciative of Darren’s huge intuition, his ability to stay with an issue and his aptitude for making important connections. I trust Darren’s judgment and would recommend him as an able coach.’ Ms. C.S. - Mi

‘Hiring a life coach is an investment. You invest time, money, energy, it can be emotionally engaging and you obviously expect a return on investment. It is so well worth it with Darren. In 6 months, not only has Darren helped me increase dramatically my level of self esteem but he has helped me successfully find my true life purpose. I have just received a positive answer for the job of my dreams, am moving to a city I love and can clearly visualize my bright future from now on. Darren is a genuine Master of Self Esteem, an inspirational and intuitive coach who can work wonders.

Ms G.H. - Wi

‘Darren is friendly, supportive, attentive and non judgmental thus he creates the optimum environment to speak openly and discuss issues. After a number of coaching sessions with Darren I felt clear about what I wanted out of my life and empowered to take things forward.

Mr. A.C. - Wi

‘I turned to Darren for help at a particular low point in my life. A senior and successful executive, I had been off sick for 3 weeks following what had been diagnosed as a series of panic attacks, together with general stress and anxiety. Having received little help from the medical world, I contacted Darren and asked if he was willing to help. I had my first session later that same day, and 8 sessions later, I can honestly say that Darren’s coaching was a real turning point from me. Whilst not yet entirely ‘panic attack free’, the attacks are fewer, further apart and much milder. Additionally, I am about to embark on an exciting new career fulfilling many long held ambitions, and am really positive about the future. Darren was a real catalyst for this change, and his support and guidance was key. Darren’s style is supportive, friendly, intuitive and totally non-judgmental. I cannot recommend him highly enough.’ Ms. M.A Il

‘Fantastic! Life coaching has helped me uncover a secret dream, buried since childhood, drop my limiting beliefs that I wasn’t good enough to go for it and provided me with the motivation to make the commitment and changes to pursue my dream career. I now have a goal! My life coach has been like a best friend, only better! Always listening, never judging, asking the right questions and providing me with constant encouragement. I could not have done it without him!! Thanks Darren’

Ms. H A - Il ‘I started working with Darren soon after coming out of a long-term relationship, and was in a place where I wanted to do something different with my life but I wasn’t sure what. Although I had many ideas, they were all big leaps from my current situation, and I didn’t have the clarity to follow any of them through. Darren has helped me go deep into myself, and re-evaluate who I am, by helping me define my core values, and what I’m deeply passionate about. This has helped me come to a much clearer understanding of where I am going, and the steps I need to take to achieve these goals. I find working with Darren very inspiring, and his style is warm and generous. I particularly liked the way he helped me delve deeper rather than just tackling the surface issues.

Ms R C - Tx

“It’s been one week since my first session and I still can’t believe how much better I feel about my life. The technique you taught to deal with difficult customers has worked beyond my wildest expectations. This week would have been one of my worst ever had we not talked, We had a major shipping failure and lots of late orders and irritated customers. All the things that usually drag me down were suddenly unable to phase me. I never would have believed that direct control over my emotions was possible at all, if I hadn’t experienced it. Over the years I’ve studied self help course and read books which have left me thinking I was incapable of change, after Hours of listening and hundreds of pages, nothing was working. But Darren, the hour you spent with me last week on the phone has changed me entirely… from a ticking time bomb to being in total control. If this isn’t a miracle, then it must be that you’ve shown me something very fundamental, profound and practical about the inner workings of emotion, and how easy it is to feel good about life.” Your New Friend, CD, Il

‘Darren is a true professional. I suffered from bad nerves all through my academic years and I needed help in staying calm in the preparation for and writing of my final accountancy exams. I was completely calm on the exam days - I couldn’t believe it was me ! Thanks Darren!’ SC Mo

‘I am a mother of two young kids and last year qualified as a beautician. I dreamed of setting up my own salon but didn’t really believe it would be possible for quite a few years. It was tough enough juggling all the balls already in the air! Thanks to Darren I now spend my time on the important things in life, I have quality time with the children and….I’m now living my dream! I couldn’t have done it without you.’ P.R. Ne

‘I’ve had a number of coaching sessions with Darren and found him to be incredibly helpful, both professionally and personally. Darren has a way of challenging entrenched ways of thinking, gently but persistently, and moving me on from why I can’t do something to setting specific achievable goals which are moving me incrementally in the right direction.’ Ms. AS - NY

How Coaching Works

Session Durations and frequencySessions usually last 60 minutes although half-day transformation sessions are also available (see below). Typically a program would last for 4-10 sessions with clients paying for batches of 4 sessions in advance. An initial 20min free consultation would be carried out to give the client a better idea of how many sessions would be required and also to assess which coach would best suit their needs or circumstances.

Sessions are usually held weekly to begin with as this helps to establish a good momentum. Towards the end of the programme it may be appropriate to slow down the frequency in order to allow the client time to take the practical steps towards their goal (e.g applying for a new job).

Client Location

Sessions may be carried out in person or over the phone. Both methods are equally effective. At present our coaches are located Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin so it would be feasible to do face-to-face coaching in these locations. Usually clients will initiate the call at a pre-arranged time. 50 Caliber Coaching coaches have worked with several overseas clients and thanks to discounted telephone services in the US, it is possible for such clients to be called by the coach for a small additional fee ($12.50 per session).
Half- Day Transformation Sessions

In the event that a client needs a quick turnaround in their lives but is not keen on the idea of doing a full programme, it may be more fitting for them to do a 4 hour intensive session (in person). The session would be carefully planned in advance by coach and coachee and may include Coaching, NLP and Hyponosis. These sessions are priced at $498.
Homework

Clients are usually assigned practical tasks at the end of each session that will bring them closer to their stated goals. These will usually be suggested by the clients themselves as an outcome from the coaching session. Progress on the tasks is then discussed at the following session.

  • “…one of the strongest motives that lead men to art and science is escape from everyday life with its painful crudity and hopeless dreariness, from the fetters of one’s own ever-shifting desires. • “A human being is a part of a whole, called by us _universe_, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest… a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. • Through the release of atomic energy, our generation has brought into the world the most revolutionary force since prehistoric man’s discovery of fire. This basic force of the universe cannot be fitted into the outmoded concept of narrow nationalisms.
For there is no secret and there is no defense; there is no possibility of control except through the aroused understanding and insistence of the peoples of the world. We scientists recognise our inescapable responsibility to carry to our fellow citizens an understanding of atomic energy and its implication for society. In this lies our only security and our only hope - we believe that an informed citizenry will act for life and not for death.

Are you TIRED of...

Being stuck in the same old problems with your time, space, relationships, career, money and healthy year after year after year?

Are you TIRED of...

Being unorganized, overwhelmed, under-appreciated, and lacking direction or focus on your goals?

Now Imagine…

… if you spent some time with a Life Coach, figuring out your highest priorities, your personal definition of success and happiness…

… and begin to live your life from that concrete perspective every single day.

How would your life change?

Yeah, I know!

I know it’s hard. With kids, and parents, and bosses, and bills, and laundry, and errands…and…on. and. on. and. on.

But I also know you’ve seen other people with a great life — A job they care about, happy relationships, able to take vacations or buy a new car or computer. Why not you?

D.C., Business Owner, Phoenix, AZ says…”You taught me one of the keys to motivating myself is understanding what I really value and setting goals so that I’m being pulled towards those values instead of constantly pushing myself with ’shoulds.’

But I don’t get it…How can talking to a Life Coach help me have a happier life?

That’s where you’ve got it wrong. It’s not about ‘talking’.

  • It’s about YOU taking ACTION on your life, your goals, your needs, your desires, your interests, your abilities, your talents, and EVEN your weaknesses.
  • It’s about YOU living your life from the concrete perspective of what’s important, and what’s not.
  • It’s about YOU making some decisions that will contribute every single day to the life you want.
  • It’s about YOU making yourself happy, not waiting on the lottery, or the perfect mate, or the beach house in Hawaii.

You see, you didn’t sit down one day and decide not to be happy…you just didn’t get around to deciding that you are in charge of being happy. And not in that joke-a-day, jumping-on-couches kind of way. But in a way that feels good, makes sense, gives you satisfaction even when you’re tired to the bone.

That takes choosing a lifestyle that fits WHO YOU ARE, what you believe, what matters to you.

With Coach Darren, you’ll better understand yourself, and how other people perceive you, so you can adjust when it best serves you. I can help you find and achieve a comfortable balance between expressing your needs and wants and emotions and self control.

I specialize in FOCUS and MOTIVATION. FOCUS is key. If you’re reading this, I know that you’re unhappy with some aspect of your life and you’re ready …

  • to make some progress toward a goal
  • to learn to FOCUS on your strengths instead of fighting to ‘overcome’
  • to live a life that makes sense, feels good, expresses who you are and what you find meaningful and important.

Are you ready…

… to bring your dreams into FOCUS?

I want everyone to EXPERIENCE THE POWER of Coach Darren.

I offer ..

10 Killer Ways To Increase Your Orders

10 Killer Ways To Increase Your Orders

1. Express the same views as your target audience.

Bring up common likes and dislikes in your ad. This will create instant rapport with your audience. If your customers trust you, they will buy from you.

2. Add viral marketing into your promotional plans.

Allow your visitors to give away your free stuff, just include your ad somewhere on all the freebies. If you are doing an offline business, give away a product with your information on it and let the marketing message carry itself. For example if you sell Mary Kay, buy an eBook (with private Label rights if possible or resell rights) on skin care, or make up, put it on a cd and put your name and contact info on the CD Cover and CD label. Give the CD’s away at parties, as long as the info is good on the cd, you will gain customers, and people who are friends of customers or friends of friends will begin calling you. Cost per promotional items, if the eBook is 50-75 dollars, and you give it away to 100 people, your cost of advertising will be around 1 dollar a customer..compare that to running an ad.

3. Design your web site to be less confusing. Don’t use a lot of graphics, links and anything that takes away from your sales message. Keep your site focused on what you want to convey to your customers, they are easily distracted, and if an ad catches their eye, they just left your site.

4. Give your visitors the option of viewing your web site by autoresponder or printing it out. They might not have the time right then to look it over.

5. Increase your opt-in e-mail list quickly by giving away a product at no cost. Just require people to subscribe to your e-zine in exchange. When your list is built make sure you stay in touch with good information or courses. Build trust with your clients.

6. Joint venture your web business with other offline businesses. Look for businesses that have the same target audience and create a win/win deal with them. I have done Joint ventures with cookbooks and other items with several people, I offer a discount at my information store, they give the discount to their customers as a bonus, or they keep the commission depending on the deal, it must be a win-win.

7. Expand your target audience by adding a new product line or packaging your main products with other ones. You could also add-on extra services. Your future should not rely on one source of income ever, use multiple streams of income to grow your business rapidly. For example, if you sell pampered chef, why not also sell cookbooks, or other related tools or information that your customers are interested in.

8. Persuade your visitors to like you. People buy from people they like. You could tell them a joke, give them a compliment, give them a freebie, etc.

9. Submit the free stuff you offer to online freebie directories. They usually get tons of traffic because people like to get things for free.

10. Use headlines and sub headlines that are aimed directly at your audience. If you’re selling things to lawyers use a headline like “Attention All Lawyers!”.

All Time Has Value

All Time Has Value

What is the number one question I hear day in and day out? How can I make more money? Or What do I charge for my services?

Well, the answer is very complex in some ways, not really complicated in other ways. How is that for a non-answer?

In many ways, the answer depends on what you want, and what value you see in yourself. Amazingly the answer does not rely on what other people are charging for similar services.

Let me give you a common example from corporate America, anyone who has worked in an organization that has multiple people in similar positions, you hear this grumbling go on constantly, I don’t understand why Sally makes more money than I do, I work just as hard or do my job just as well as she does.

Here is the dirty secret, Sally makes more money because she believes she is worth more money, and has been able to convey that worth to her employer.

What is your worth? How much do you charge for your goods or services?

The answer is really an easy thing to calculate mathematically, how much do you want to earn?

Here is the math, I want to make $250,000 this year. I am in a service business so I know from experience, I will bill about 2000 hours a year. So the math is simple, if all I did was services, I would divide $250000 by 2000 and come up with $500 an hour. That is how much I need to make per hour to earn 250k this year. Ok, so my niche market currently doesn’t support $500 an hour so then what? Here are a couple of strategies you can use. First, you must manage your time in an extremely efficient way. This is critical because every one of those 2000 hours you waste or don’t bill for makes your cost per hour increase. So learn effective time management.

Next, put together a package, I earn a lot more selling a service than I use selling time. Selling a service may be a business assessment, or an improvement investigation. For corporate clients, they gladly pay 10-15,000 dollars for a business assessment to learn how to make more money, this service takes me about 3 weeks to complete, (40 X 3 = 120 hours X 500 dollars = $6,000 I picked up some extra revenues there), But the even better part is I can do the site ups and analysis after hours, and cut the time (from my original 2000 hours) from 120 to around 80 hours. This is just one example, and there are hundreds of others out there.

So the answer to how much to sell my services for is simply how much do I believe I am worth, and then convey that worth to your clients, either through service offerings in packages, product quality, or expertise, I know coaches who easily earn 1000 an hour, I know consultants who earn 10000 a day. I know people who make products that earn 400 an hour. Why? Are they better than you, smarter than you, better educated? Probably not, but they have a perceived value of themselves, and are able to convey that to others. They see themselves as premium service or product providers, and don’t waiver. But they also don’t sell their products or services on price, they sell their products and services as value.

Another quick example, a pampered Chef client I have was struggling with her new business opportunity. During our first session, I found she had no goals written down, she wanted to make a lot of money. She was struggling with parties, and was uncomfortable begging people to buy. So we worked on her goals, and helped her develop her self worth. She wanted to make $75,000 a year, and decided she could do 4 parties a month through some marketing methods we came up with. So 48 parties a year she needed to earn a little over $1500 a party. Well we worked on her self worth, and that confidence came out during her parties, and her sales sky rocketed, did she earn her goal of 75,000 no she didn’t but she did earn $68,000 the first year (not bad for a stay at home mom who hadn’t had a job in 8 years). And the most important thing is her income was increasing throughout the year, so as she learned and practiced her techniques, the sales continued to increase so next year her income will be even better.

“Have One Week, Will Relax”

“Have One Week, Will Relax” Your 7 days program to Stress management

They say there’s more than one way to skin a cat. The same goes when you start tearing your hair out with all the frustration, grief, anxiety, and yes, stress. It’s a state of mental conditioning that is like taking that bitter pill down your throat, causing you to lose your sense of self, and worse your sanity. Just thinking about it can drive anyone off the edge.

And they say that the proactive ones are already living off the edge.

As one stressed-out person to another, I know how it feels, and believe me there are many variants when it comes to stress. Coping with life, and carrying the problems that may or may not belong to you can scratch away the little joy and happiness that you can carry once you head out that door. You can’t blame them for being like that; they have their own reasons, so much like we have our reasons to allow stress to weigh us down. They say that stress is all in the mind, well, what’s bugging you anyway?

There are several ways to manage stress, and eventually remove it out of your life one of these days. So I’ll try to divide it into a seven-day course for you and I promise it’s not going to be too taxing on the body, as well as on the mind.

1. Acknowledge stress is good
Make stress your friend! Based on the body’s natural “fight or flight” response, that burst of energy will enhance your performance at the right moment. I’ve yet to see a top sportsman totally relaxed before a big competition. Use stress wisely to push yourself that little bit harder when it counts most.

2. Avoid stress sneezers
Stressed people sneeze stress germs indiscriminately and before you know it, you are infected too!

Protect yourself by recognizing stress in others and limiting your contact with them. Or if you’ve got the inclination, play stress doctor and teach them how to better manage themselves.

3. Learn from the best
When people around are losing their head, who keeps calm? What are they doing differently? What is their attitude? What language do they use? Are they trained and experienced?
Figure it out from afar or sit them down for a chat. Learn from the best stress managers and copy what they do.

4. Practice socially acceptable heavy breathing
This is something I’ve learned from a gym instructor: You can trick your body into relaxing by using heavy breathing. Breathe in slowly for a count of 7 then breathe out for a count of 11. Repeat the 7-11 breathing until your heart rate slows down, your sweaty palms dry off and things start to feel more normal.

5. Give stressy thoughts the red light
It is possible to tangle yourself up in a stress knot all by yourself. “If this happens, then that might happen and then we’re all up the creek!” Most of these things never happen, so why waste all that energy worrying needlessly?

Give stress thought-trains the red light and stop them in their tracks. Okay so it might go wrong - how likely is that, and what can you do to prevent it?

6. Know your trigger points and hot spots
Presentations, interviews, meetings, giving difficult feedback, tight deadlines…. My heart rate is cranking up just writing these down!

Make your own list of stress trigger points or hot spots. Be specific. Is it only presentations to a certain audience that get you worked up? Does one project cause more stress than another? Did you drink too much coffee?

Knowing what causes you stress is powerful information, as you can take action to make it less stressful. Do you need to learn some new skills? Do you need extra resources? Do you need to switch to decaf?

7. Burn the candle at one end
Lack of sleep, poor diet and no exercise wreaks havoc on our body and mind. Kind of obvious, but worth mentioning as it’s often ignored as a stress management technique. Listen to your mother and don’t burn the candle at both ends!

So having stress can be a total drag, but that should not hinder us to find the inner peace of mind that we have wanted for a long time. In any case, one could always go to the Bahamas and bask under the summer sun.

Hope is not a Strategy

Hope is not a Strategy

Do you have a plan for success? Do you have a marketing strategy, a strategy to get new clients or sell services?

Most online marketers, and many work at home entrepreneurs do not have a strategy to succeed. The entire plan in a lot of cases seems to be we built a web site and hope people buy it, or we sent emails to a list of people and hope to get responses. The strategy goes on and on, but does it work?

Most online businesses fail because they lack a clear plan of how to succeed. We all have heard the age old adage that there is lots of money to be made in this niche or that niche, and it is easy to succeed. Well I have good news and bad news for you, the adage is true, in virtually every niche online and offline there is a lot of money to be made, but the bad news is 98% of the people who set out to capitalize on that market fail.

Why do they fail? They fail to set up a good plan, and failing to plan is planning to fail.

How many times have people said this opportunity didn’t work or that is a scam because I set up the website, or I placed an ad and got no response so the whole system is bad, it must be a bad system, because you did your 30 minutes of reading about how to do it, and placed the ad, or put up a web site, told your friends about it, and waited 2 weeks, or a month and nothing happened so obviously the system doesn’t work…or does it.

Was Hope your strategy? Did you place the ad or web site up in hopes of someone purchasing something, well the obvious answer is of course. But if you look at the successful people online or offline, they are not using hope as a strategy, they are constantly marketing their service or site, they are redirecting the approach, if this approach doesn’t give me the desired result, I will do another, and keep trying until I succeed. Never is hope a strategy for the successful, the successful are constantly re-evaluating and re-directing the approach to meet their objective, they don’t try, they don’t hope. Life is a series of challenges, and the successful people are the ones who constantly adjust their approach to achieve their goals.

Did Abraham Lincoln hope he would get elected, he had failed many times in politics, but I will bet he never hoped to get elected, I’ll bet he planned to get elected and through a constant eye on his goal and ever re-directing his approach he succeeded, the same is true of Col Sanders, he failed many times to sell his now famous recipe for chicken, but finally after hundreds of failures he found the right investor and the rest is history.

Both of these examples illustrate situations where hope was not a strategy, and just as importantly failure was not an option. They constantly adjusted their approach and methods to achieve their goals, but neither were relying on divine intervention, or the universe would shine on them, they both acted very proactively to achieve their goals and succeeded.

Do Away With Indecision Soon And Choose A Definite Goal

Do Away With Indecision Soon And Choose A Definite Goal

Make up your mind what you desire of life, decide to get just that, picture it in your mind without substitutes and like magic you will have taken possession of one of the most priceless of all assets available to human beings. But your desire must be no mere wish or hope, it must be a definitive, measurable goal!

It must be a burning desire and it must become so definitely an obsession desire that you are willing to pay whatever price its attainment may cost. The price may be much or it may be little, but you must condition your mind to pay it, regardless of what the cost may be. If your goals are real and measurable, and you really want it you must be willing to pay any price, or overcome any obstacle to achieve it.

The moment you choose your Definite Major Purpose in life you will observe a strange circumstance, consisting in the fact that ways and means of attaining that purpose will begin immediately to reveal themselves to you. You will be able to break down your purpose into an action plan and achieve the goal in record time. If you want to lose 75 pounds, you must start with the first pound.

-A journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step-

Opportunities you had not expected will be placed in your way. The cooperation of others will become available to you and friends will appear as if by a stroke of magic. Your fears and doubts will begin to disappear and self-reliance will take their place. Your goals will seem to be achievable as if by some magical fate, you will not be able to fail if you get them in your mind.

This may seem, to the uninitiated, a fantastic promise, but not so to the man who has done away with indecision and has chosen a definite goal in life. I speak not only from the observation of other men alone, but from my own personal experience.

I have transformed myself from someone who was not reaching his potential to a successful man and I have therefore earned the right to give you this assurance of what you may expect if you follow the roadmap provided by this philosophy.
